Faith Liao, PhD., RN, is
Assistant Professor speciality in Person-Centred Medical Education Research at Taipei Medical University (TMU) and Registered Nurse Conjunctly
Deputy Director of Center for Education in Holistic Care and Human Flourishing in the Department of Medical Education at Taipei Medical University Hospital (TMUH). She was awarded a PhD degree from the University of Nottingham UK. With her BSc in Nursing and MA in Neuroethics, Faith currently looks into the person-centred approach in medical education, technology-enhanced e-learning, therapeutic relationship, inter-professional and holistic healthcare competence in medical professionals.
Faith's research interests are at the interface of medical education and human flourishing. Faith's research is focused on the development of therapeutic pedagogy and pedagogy of human flourishing in medical education, and the relevant topic such as autonomy for learning from home during the COVID19 pandemic; therapeutic relationship, wellbeing and authenticity; person-centred experiential e-learning and spiritual care. Currently, Faith is supervising master students completing on relevant topics such as the well-being of adolescents and young people with cancer.
Faith is keen to hear from potential master students or practitioners with an interest in medical education, holistic health and their links with wellbeing.
