My name is Kai-jen Cheng and I am a chief psychiatrist in the division of Psychosomatic Medicine at Tri-Service General Hospital, Beitou Branch. Due to my interest in sociology and humanities in medicine, I decided to study at this Graduate Institute from 2014 to 2017.
My master degree thesis, “Criminal or Patient? Medicalization of Amphetamine Use from the Perspective of Deferred Prosecution for Category Two Narcotics Abstention and Coerced Group Therapy,” discusses the role of drug addicts in Taiwanese society. Currently my focus is on the criminal behavior of children and adolescents.
