I am currently a student at the Graduate Institute of Humanities in Medicine, Taipei Medical University. Having taken a number of practical and solid, yet interesting modules offered by professors from this Institute at the undergraduate level at the same University, I applied to this Program.
I was filled with wonderful imaginations about this Program, which included the possibility of taking specialised modules in Medical Sociology, Medical Anthropology, Health Law and Ethics and the History of Medicine. I also found that my research interest (resource distribution) was fitting with one of the Institute's key research areas (as written on the old website), so I thought that it would have the resources I needed.
What I recommend? I would count the almost-weekly seminars, occasional field trips to special places (historical/indigenous/religious), and most importantly of all, my great thesis supervisors, as the key highlights of this Program!
