In recent decades, Chinese medicine pediatricians have found themselves confronting a host of perplexing conditions - from asthma to Tourette’s syndrome to precocious puberty - that seem to be on the rise. Using clinical examples from both China and Taiwan, I will show that doctors of Chinese medicine can teach us how to attend to the subtle, think holistically, and heal through bricolage. Their methods for treating the imbalances of individual bodies can perhaps guide us on how to better navigate the dangers of an unstable world.
